Strange comms from binance

Anyone find it a bit strange that the first commentary of the hack got here from CZ himself, within hours of the hack to reassure SAFU, with a disclaimer that he not runs binance. And yet it took quite a bit longer for the current ceo yi he to return out with a public statement in Chinese language. It just seems all very weird. I get CZ was the public face of binance for a very long time, but as he already has alluded, he's not at the helm. So who really runs the corporate?
