Money sent but cant find it on chain..

Hi everybody, somebody despatched me usdt from binance to a pockets. they stated they sent the cash (gave me a accomplished screenshot but didnt really pay attention to the txid) however on the flawed tackle however even on the fallacious tackle i can't see the transaction or the stability on chain.. I didn't save the txid which i know stupid me…. however when i checked the pockets stability and that i checked on bscscan or etherscan i can't discover the money even on the improper tackle.. do you assume they actually sent it? or they never sent it but just stated its the fallacious handle? i've checked all sort of chains… i can't contact the individual now to ask for a txid..
