Christmas came early in 2023 for crypto

In one day Alex Mashinsky jailed and SEC loses against Ripple. To be more specific, SEC failed to label XRP a security. For Ripple it sounds like they will pay big fines to the SEC but the XRP holders and other crypto/altcoin holders got a huge win today, let me explain my reasoning.

All the altcoins recently named as securities by the SEC (ADA, MATIC, SOL, etc) will inevitably end in the same place as XRP (with clarity given as a non-security). Since the SEC failed to label XRP a security they will most likely fail their cases against the aforementioned altcoins due to existing precedent and because of this they will avoid a protracted court battle to save face, money and time. Instead I predict the SEC will opt to settle with all the organization heads of these altcoins. They will get a slap on the wrist and pay a multimillion dollar fine which will be accepted to avoid a long court battle that will make their altcoin miss the next bullrun. I speculate that the crypto organization heads are intelligent enough to understand settling (even though they know they can win) is still in their best interest when it comes to token adoption and price.

In the end, the SEC and altcoins will both come out as winners. The SEC wins by saving face and avoiding a protracted court battle they will inevitably get wrecked in (due to precedent with XRP & Ripple). They can collect millions from projects they labelled securities and say they are effectively regulating the space. The altcoins win because they will be given clarity by the SEC to be sold on US exchanges and enjoy their pumps in the upcoming bull run.
